Aside from the mass and charge of the electron, electron spin is the third inherent property of an electron. It specifies the angular momentum of an electron. It is described as the spinning of the electron around its axis.
Because of this, there’s a magnetic field around the electron.
A qubit can be represented by the spin of an electron or the polarization of a photon.
